# Add option to export "only selected area

I’d like to suggest the implementation of an option when exporting.  
It would allow exporting only the selected area.  
This is useful because I keep all animations in the same file, and sometimes I only want to export a small fire animation, but since Aseprite exports the whole canvas, I can’t export that small fire animation in isolation.  
It would be very easy if I could use the rectangle selection tool, then press export and choose to export only the selected area.

**So the process would be as follows:**  
I select the area I want to export.  
I click on Export.  
I enable the “only selected area” option.  
I export.

Hey SynthED, this is already a feature in aseprite. When you go to “export as”, there is an option to export the full canvas, or only the selection. I hope that helps!
