Would it be possible to add a antialiasing filter, similar to what GIMP has, to the Convolution Matrix or anywhere else. It would be really useful.
Or is there something like this already available and I’m just missing it? (excluding the blur and other stuff in the convolution matrix though)
Text seems to have this filter, why isn’t it present anywhere else?

At the moment there is no antialiasing filter for painting tools (Pencil, line, etc.). There are a couple of issues related to this on GitHub:
