Hey everyone ![]()
I’ve recently discovered a serious bug in my script, and I want to be completely transparent about it.
On two separate occasions, while working on a very large Aseprite project, everything suddenly went wrong, like all my layers got merged into multiple flattened images, and it was impossible to revert the change.
Please, always make a backup of your .ase file before using this script.
Without GitHub version control, I probably wouldn’t have been able to recover my work.
I need to be honest, I don’t know how to fix this bug yet.
I also don’t know exactly when or why it happens, which makes it even harder to track down.
It seems to appear randomly, and I haven’t been able to reproduce it reliably so far. ![]()
I’m deeply sorry
if anyone has already experienced something similar.
I never wanted this tool to cause trouble only to help other artists save time and stay organized.
I’m not a programmer, just an artist trying to make creative workflows a bit easier… and sometimes that means I make mistakes I don’t yet know how to fix.
If anyone out there feels motivated to improve or continue this project, please don’t hesitate to do it.
You can fork the repository, open a pull request, or simply contact me if you want to talk about it I’d be truly grateful.
Thank you for your understanding, and support.
I just want to make sure no one else goes through what I did…
