[Extension] Stamp Brush — Clone Stamp, Soft Brush, and Tiled workspace

Hi everyone!

As much as I love Aseprite, creating seamless environment textures or doing smooth shading has always been a bit challenging due to the lack of native clone-stamping and soft-brush tools.

To solve this, I created Stamp Brush — an extension that opens a dedicated, full-window workspace right inside Aseprite designed for texture retouching and cloning.

:bullseye: Key Features

  • Clone Stamp Tool: Clone and paint pixels from any part of your active cel or its tiled repetitions.

  • Seamless Tiled Workspace: View and edit your artwork in a 1x1 to 3x3 tiled preview with real-time seamless source-wrapping. Perfect for game developers making map textures!

  • True Soft Brush: Features adjustable radius, softness, and opacity. It uses a custom blending algorithm with zero overlapping artifacts during a single stroke.

  • Selection Masking: Respects active Aseprite selections — you will only paint strictly inside the masked area.

  • Smart State Saving: Local Undo/Redo system and confirmation on closing dialog - you can apply changes or discard or continue editing without losing your local undo history or changes.

:keyboard: Controls & Shortcuts

  • Right-click — Set clone source point

  • Left-click & drag — Paint

  • Shift + Mouse Wheel — Adjust brush size

  • Middle-click & drag — Pan canvas

  • Ctrl/Cmd+Z — Local undo, Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Z or Ctrl/Cmd+Y— Local redo
