# Menu bar on macOS disabled

It happens a lot and it’s so frustrating. When i reopen aseprite they start working again. I am on mac mini.

Hi @Koshi, is the issue that menus are disabled randomly from time to time? Would you mind to enable the Aseprite menu bar to see if the issue is only macOS related or it’s related to something else? You can enable the Aseprite menu bar from [Edit \> Preferences \> General \> Show Aseprite menu bar](https://www.aseprite.org/docs/menu-bar/).

Hi, I fixed it by renaming the file where was aseprite.

Ok I thought I fixed it but it happened again. But the aseprite menu works.

Hello, I can confirm I’m experiencing the same strange problem on macOS (mac mini too).
In my case, I’ve noticed that when I use the numeric keypad on my external keyboard (Logitech MX Keys mechanical), in a pop-up window like “Create a new sprite” or “Settings \> Hue/Saturation” on an existing sprite, I have to restart Aseprite every time.
(numeric keypad is important to notice since currently the workaround for me is to use the classic shift + num keys)

You can use the aseprite menu bar it’s not happening there.

I have exactly same issue, it is totally annoying and app is basically unusable, cause i have to save and restart app everytime i want to use something from menu, please make hotfix on this :((

I have the same issue on a Macbook. The asperite menu is a workaround.
I don’t know if it’s related, but I use the app fullscreen.
