# Selection Tool auto snaps to grid even when it's disabled

Hi Devs,

I recently bought the software from Steam, but I have encountered this issue. I’m not sure if it is a bug or if I’m doing something wrong. So far, I honestly like the app, but the selection tool auto-selects the grid. I’m unable to drag it, even the other subtools - circle, lasso etc.

I have tried the following, but none of them worked:

- Disabled these two under Preferences: “Select a grid tile with double-click” & “Snap to Grid when the option is enabled”
- Shift + S , then Shift + S again to disable “Snap to Grid”
- Unchecked “Grid” under view\>show setting.

The only thing that worked was restarting the software, but a few minutes after using the selection tool, this issue comes back again. Version: v1.3.18.6
