What's your animated Tilemaps workflow?

Hi y’all.

It looks like tiles in the tilemap can’t be animated, (at least to my understanding!) rather you can use different tiles in the same location over time to create animation. This is super flexible, but it comes at the cost of some complexity, i.e. I can’t just add another frame to the timeline and modify the tiles and have them show up everywhere they’re instanced, I’ll have to instead reconstruct the layout from the last frame with all the new tile frames first. This is both complex and leaves the tile palette with a copy of most (sometimes all!) of the tiles per frame. This seems OK for a few 4-5 frame loops, but quickly gets nuts otherwise. How are y’all approaching making that kind of content? Are there any open feature requests I could watch/add to that I’ve missed and should go look at?
