A fully animated full body sprite

After so much frustration, I managed to make an animated study of a sprite that could perhaps be used in a game. I see errors there, but I don’t know exactly where they are.

the bounciness is pretty good, it looks like that of a running animation but then shes looking straight at us which is pretty weird, and them theres the skirt, which for me looks like its spinning, none of the animtions are bad per say they just arent glueing together.

I did this pose without any intention, I just liked it and did it, I left it open for people to interpret what she is doing. It was fun to see several people imagining what she does in that position. You saw her getting ready to run, other people saw her doing exercises with only one leg (In this context, it doesn’t seem strange that she is looking at us). About the skirt “spinning” many animes do this effect when a wind passes over the skirt but I agree that the way I animated it the movement doesn’t seem normal. I still have a lot to learn about animation.

The key aspect of cloth movement is that it should be smooth and fluid. Forces affecting one side of the cloth should also influence the other side. Given the number of frames you have, the movement currently appears unintentional, resembling a jitter rather than a fluid motion. I recommend that the skirt drop slightly forward on the beat to partially conceal the front leg. This adjustment reduces the symmetry and creates a more visually appealing look. Additionally, it offers a simpler solution while taking physicality into account.

My two cents at least

I agree with what you said and it helped me identify some problems, I will post again later with the corrections you pointed out. Thank you very much!
