About a possible mobile (Android / iOS) version

A lot of people requested an iOS or Android port of Aseprite in the past. This is not something we wouldn’t like to do, or we completely overlooked in these years. We’d love to have a mobile port of Aseprite, but we don’t want to provide a half-baked version of Aseprite without a proper UX (including user support for such version).

The continuous development and maintenance of the desktop version is our priority, but it’s not that we don’t have plans for a proper solution for several Aseprite UI issues if it’s ported to a mobile environment without a keyboard. This is even true for the desktop version on tablet-like devices (Surface, stylus only, tablet+stylus, etc.).

You can find a list of related issues/features/problems for tablet-like devices in GitHub under the “tablet” label. Any feature request/topic created in this forum related to a mobile port will be closed and unlisted, there is no reason to create such topics at this moment, so please don’t do it, it will make just more noise.
