Add feature to make color layer affect all layer cels

I’m looking for an optional feature that would allow the user data layer color to extend to all cels, to allow for the quick identification of specific layers without needing to glance back at the layer name.

Currently, this can be kinda achieved by manually adding color to all cels of the layer, but empty cels can’t be colored so it’s not a perfect solution.
