Aseprite freezes when opening folder with 6k+ files

i mean makes sense, you might wanna separate some of that into separete folders in the folder.

Hi @exuin, in that platform are you running Aseprite? Windows, macOS, Linux? Generally it shouldn’t freeze when you’re navigating a folder with such number of files. Anyway two recommendations:

  1. As @Ethan_Buttazzi said, it might be a good idea to separate the folder in other folders (or subfolders)
  2. You could give a try to the OS file selector checking Edit > Preferences > Experimental > Use native file dialog (this will use the operating system file dialog on Windows or macOS which might handle your case)

I’m using Windows. I guess the freezing isn’t that big a deal.
