Asperite Community Introductions!

Hello everyone. I created this post so we can introduce ourselves and get to know each other better.
My name is James Chapp Fillmore. I’m an indie game developer and pixel artist from Buenos Aires, Argentina. :argentina:

For about 7 years now, I’ve been developing free pixel art games that I publish on itch.io and Newgrounds.

One of the most important projects I worked on was the International Pixelart Gallery—a pixel art gallery that, over the years, featured more than 90 artists from over 40 countries. That experience gave me the chance to connect with a global community of pixel artists, and I learned a ton from it.

I’ve been using Aseprite as one of my main tools for game development for over 6 years now.

Here’s one of the very first drawings I ever made with Aseprite, back in 2019:

If you’d like to see more of my work, feel free to check out my Instagram and other social media links below:

Now I’d love to hear from YOU!

This is an international community of artists, and I think it would be amazing to get to know each other a little better. It’s always inspiring to see what people from different parts of the world are creating with the same tool.

So here’s the idea:

  • Introduce yourself – Who are you and where are you from? :globe_showing_americas:

  • Share a piece of your art – It can be your latest masterpiece, a work-in-progress, or even your very first Aseprite drawing!

  • Tell us a bit about your journey – How long have you been using Aseprite? What kind of projects are you working on?

  • Share your social media links so we can follow you.

Don’t be shy – give us the elevator pitch about yourself and your work! :studio_microphone:

I’m really looking forward to seeing your creations and connecting with fellow pixel artists from all over the globe. Let’s fill this thread with color, creativity, and good vibes!

Hello! I’m Paulina Riva and I’m from Argentina!

I’ve been doing pixel art, among other styles, for many years — but I’ve focused especially on this for about 8–10 years now. I really enjoy the synthesis of form and experimenting with textures. I love using bright and warm colors, and creating landscapes is what I enjoy the most!

I’d like to share with you my favorite work up to this day, which was inspired by a design from mumu0909 (a DeviantArt user).

Hi everyone!

I’m Lili, a pixel artist and UI/UX designer from Iran.

I’ve been making pixel art for about 5 years. One of my projects is Lili and the Dark Forest, a game that I published on itch.io.

I also create content for my Farsi/Persian followers on YouTube, mostly about how to make pixel art and improve as a pixel artist.

What I love most about pixel art is the feeling of childhood memories and old games. I’m really passionate about low resolution pixel art, and Aseprite has been my main tool since the beginning of my journey.

here is one of my favorite artworks from a game I’m working on

I’m happy to join the Aseprite community and would love to connect with other pixel artists here!

Hello everyone!

I’m Rubstarks from Spain :spain:. I’m a pixel artist, 2D artist, graphic designer, musician and teacher.

For the last few years I’ve been deeply passionate about pixel art. It’s a medium where I feel completely at home, allowing me to build worlds filled with fantasy, atmosphere and nostalgia. I grew up playing Mega Drive and other classic consoles, and those games continue to inspire much of my work today.

Alongside freelance work in pixel art, illustration and graphic design, I’m currently developing my own pixel art project. Aseprite has become one of my favourite creative tools, helping me bring ideas to life quickly and comfortably.
