Can not recover files despite having the recovery options turned on

I’m writing about an issue I encountered today with Aseprite’s recovery function.

  • Version: 1.3.14.2

  • Issue: After a brief power outage, I went to recover my work via “Recover Sprite,” but the most recent session offered was from Monday—five days ago.

  • What I’ve checked:

    • I use Aseprite daily and have recovery options enabled.

    • I looked in the session folder (AppData), but only Monday’s session and one from three weeks ago appear.

    • No sessions from Tuesday–Friday were saved, despite daily use.

My understanding is that Aseprite should keep daily session backups, but I’m only seeing two files spanning a month. Could you clarify:

  1. Is the recovery feature working as intended?

  2. Where else might recent session files be saved?

  3. Are there settings I should verify to ensure daily backups are created?
