Can't move selection with move tool?

I just got aseprite recently and I’m enjoying it so far, but I’m experiencing an issue where I can’t move selections made with the marquee tool. Trying to move it with the move tool instead moves the entire layer. Please tell me there is a way to fix this. This is a feature I use often in other software.

I don’t know how to check what version of aseprite I have, but I just got it last week, so I imagine it’s the current version.

You move it with the marquee tool selected, not the move tool.

Ohhhh okay! Thank you so much! I’m coming over from photoshop and it’s just a reflex for me to use the move tool for that. I just tried moving it with the marquee tool and it’s working fine. I really appreciate the speedy response!
