Change background checkerboard grid size

Hi,
I recently bought Aseprite and use it mostly with 16 x 16 textures. Unfortunately the checkerboard background that becomes visible in transparent parts of the image is also 16 by 16 pixels in size which leaves me with a single colored background. This makes it rather hard to work with partially transparent images, especially if they use a gray-ish palette.

Is it possible to change the checkerboard size?

I just found the option to change it.
It can be changed at preferences/background.
The smallest option is 2x2 though. It would be nice to also have a 1x1 option.

I will leave the question up so it can be of use to others.
