Dither gradient makes colors faded

Hi there. I’m trying to make a dither gradient. But when I add it, all the colors get washed out, even if they are unaffected by the gradient. Why?

Also, I was wondering if there was a way to make the dithering ‘bigger’, ie. lower resolution/pixels more visible.

check if you are using mask or alpha, if you use alpha ink switch to simple for 0% opacity.

Problem solved, I had to set my ‘background color’ (right click color) to transparent
