Editing/Creating .mng files with Aseprite

Hello, I’ve been looking for a reliable way to edit and make .mng files for a while now (I know they’re an outdated format, I need to make them for an old mmo that I work on)
Is there any way to make them or edit existing ones with Aseprite? If not natively, with any plugins? Thanks in advance

hi, it seems like the best bet would be to convert the images externally.
there is this online converter: MNG Converter — Convertio
i’ve tried to convert from a gif and back and it seems to work, but the frame duration values when converting back from mng to gif are wrong.
there’s also a list of apps which should support the format: MNG (Multiple-image Network Graphics) Home Page
i can’t tell how current is the info there - i can imagine a lot of it is outdated - but that’s where i would start myself :person_shrugging:

It’s such a convoluted process making them unfortunately, I have to use a Chasys Draw IES to turn individual frames into .png files (for existing .mng images) and if i want to MAKE a new one I have to export each frame as an image through Aseprite and then turn those into an mng. It SUCKS dude smh
