Export only a selection of canvas

This is something that’s already brought some attention a couple years back that I think should still be implemented.

I don’t know if many people care at all, but I would like to see an option where i select part of a picture and export only that part without making a new canvas."

When you’d like to support a feature someone has mentioned, it’s better to bump up the existing thread than make a new one, so that people’s support for the feature can be seen in one place.
