Exporting GIF Trailing Bug

I am exporting a gif from an asset and I am getting this trailing effect from the GIF. Why is this happening?

This is what its suppose to look like:
Gif Trailing issue

I had to use a 3rd party program to showcase this.

Hi there! What’s your aseprite version. Does this always happen? Or only with this particular GIF? Could you share the .aseprite file where this happens so we can evaluate your specific case (please send it to support@aseprite.org).

I am using v 1.3.14.2

First time I have had this issue, but gifs have been acting up lately, but then fixed itself, and now a different issue is happening.

Thank you! I was able to reproduce it, and I see that it’s caused by using a semi-transparent colors. We’ll fix it soon (GIF animation keeps the previous frame when the background is semi-transparent · Issue #5226 · aseprite/aseprite · GitHub)

However, I’d like to warn that GIFs can’t reproduce semi-transparent colors. Only opaque or completely transparent colors. At most, semi-transparency can be simulated by dithering.

At the moment: to fix this particular gif, make its background completely transparent or make it completely opaque.
