Hi! I made a small Aseprite extension called Paste Across Frames, and I’m looking for a few people to test it before I release the first public version.

It solves one very specific annoyance:
If you need to add the same detail to multiple animation frames, you can copy it once, select the destination frames, and choose Edit → Paste Across Frames.
The artwork is pasted at the same canvas position on every selected frame, existing artwork is preserved, and the entire operation is one Undo!
What I’m looking for
I’m hoping to find about 5 Aseprite animators willing to try it in a real project.
The beta is completely free — I’ll send each tester a private itch.io download key.
I’m mainly interested in:
-
whether the workflow is useful in a real animation project;
-
whether anything behaves unexpectedly;
-
whether the current limitations feel reasonable
Current V1 scope
Paste Across Frames currently works with one ordinary image layer at a time.
For safety, it intentionally rejects things like linked destination cels, locked or unsupported layers, and incompatible indexed-color situations rather than making unpredictable changes.
It has already been tested across populated and empty frames, non-contiguous selections, RGB/Indexed/Grayscale sprites, cel-bound expansion, and single-step Undo.
If you’d like to try it, just reply here and I’ll send you one of the beta keys.
