I’d love to suggest adding a feature where a Group (folder) can have its own Index Z value, similar to individual layers.
This Index Z would determine the stack position of all layers within the group relative to other layers or groups.
The purpose is to make it easier to manage complex animations, where grouped layers should move together and maintain their relative positions. It would also make reordering scenes or animation phases more intuitive and less error-prone.
For example:
Group “Walk” → Index Z: 3
Group “Idle” → Index Z: 1
Group “Attack” → Index Z: 2
When rendered, groups would be stacked in order based on their Index Z, without needing to manually rearrange all their internal layers.
This would greatly improve animation workflow for larger projects.
Thank you for reading this.
