Okay so after years of using the older free version of Aseprite, I finally scraped enough together to purchase the newer copy. How exactly do I install without damaging my files? I am not really good with programs and stuff so details would be great
What files do you mean? If your .aseprite/.ase files are saved with the rest of your files and not inside the Aseprite directory, installing a new version should not affect them.
