hello, is there any extension where the reference layer has its own floating window just like the preview one? it would be great if will also has a function where you can flip and rescale it.
You can’t have a floating window, but you can open the reference as an image and drag it between your art and the toolbar, so you can have both on the screen at once. You can resize the views so your liking. Since this second document would have the reference as a regular layer, you can flip it there too.
I agree it would be nice to transform reference layers. You can flip reference layers by flipping the whole canvas, so in theory you can flip everything, and then flip just the individual layers back, but really, the best way to edit the reference currently is to edit the source file.
