A problem with the new update I think - you can fix this by doing the following:
Go to your steam aseprite folder, and go into the data folder. In there you will find another data folder. Copy the contents of \Aseprite\data\data back into \Aseprite\data, and it should work
I hope this helps, please let me know if I’ve not been clear enough

I’ve been having this issue when I tried to launch it today. I have no idea what’s changed to break it over the last couple of weeks or some since I last opened it.
Fix I found:
- Right click the name of the software in steam and select properties.
- Click on Betas
- Click on the Beta Participation checkbox and select “beta- BETA - NEW FEATURES”
- Let steam download the update and try launching the software.
