How rotating work in pixel art?

hi, im new to this pixel art + not so good at english

first, how i rotate some object logically? i mean when im making sword / spear at 45 degree its kinda cool, but when im try making it straightly, its kinda confusing me and end up feel like making something different. and how i even make it like 25 / 35 degree?

second, when im making my character facing front, it is normal they look like slighly bigger?

yah dont, theres only a few angles in pixel art were things look good, and they are these:

any other angles you are better off making smear frames

theres also the fact that something made in 45° will only look good when mirroring vertically and horizontaly same goes for something drawn in 90°, if you want to actually rotate you are gonna have to retouch it

the example igave above is from a game called Pixel Art Academy, which will teach you some of the basics, however the game is on early acess, and its not finished yet, so a lot of more advanced topics arent there yet, but its still a good start.

thanks for the reply, but still its feel like they become bigger when im making it straighly. but when im making it at 45° its feels right. plus i doesnt get the idea how to recreate the spearhead straighly, u can even see its look like not the same right?

and thanks for the recommendation tho, already at my wishlish.

diagonal outlines look thinner than straight outlines, the best thing you could do is make the diagonal outline thicker, as for the spearhead, you are gonna have to redraw it and make it look similar, it wont look exacly the same but thats because its not relly possible to maintain all ratios between diagonal and straight in pixel art.
