How to import sprite for individual frames

Hello, I just got Aseprite yesterday so I am unfamiliar with it. I am making an animation and have 2 sprites in my computer files that I want to string together in Aseprite to make an animation. However I looked everywhere in the program and on YouTube but I didn’t see an option to import a different sprite for a different frame. For example: first frame uses x.png. I want the second frame to have y.png. Is there a way to do this? If anyone knows I would greatly appreciate it :slightly_smiling_face:
Sorry if this is common knowledge
Edit: I do not want to import a spritesheet, just a sprite file

If these are regular image files (e.g. PNG, and not Aseprite files) then Aseprite will suggest importing them together if they will be numbered, e.g. x1.png, x2.png, ….

If not then you can always open the second sprite and copy it’s image into a new frame in the first sprite.
