sometimes image softwares will let you place a image in the tab your working on and you’ll be able to trace it on another layer. Aseprite can do this and all you have to do is find an image file (and or photo) and drag it onto Aseprite! this will make a new sprite with the image you chose as the background layer and now you can trace to your harts content
