Lately, I have been using the HSLuv color space which is a perceptually linear color space.
Basically, it is HSL with perceptual stability. For example, if you vary the hue, the saturation and lightness will stay the same as percepted.
This is a really nice tool to build color palettes quickly, I would love aseprite to have a built in HSLuv color picker.
