whenever i click with the magic wand tool, it just flashes and doesn’t select anything. when i double click, a rectangle appears. i posted this on the bug report category but i didn’t got any replies. please help me. this is a gif of the thing

Hi @KazeNoInari ! I think you have intersection mode enabled in the context bar.
Change to:
it’s not that. that was the fist thing i did when i noted this thing. even after changing it, it still doesn’t select
Sorry, I couldn’t reproduce it. I think resetting the preferences folder should work (Aseprite - Docs - Reset-preferences).
Anyway, if this does not help, please contact us at support@aseprite.org and tell us what version of Aseprite you are using, OS, and if you can share your aseprite.ini with us.

I’ve also had issues with it specifically in tiled mode, where it flashes for a moment and selects nothing. It’s just with the wand tool in tiled mode as well. I hope this gives some sort of lead if you’ve not tried this exactly, but if you have I’m not sure what’s going on. I’ll send a drive link with my current config in a few as well if that would help.
Thanks @Lunathir! that’s right, this is a bug in tiled mode, it works if we click/use the magic wand in the first top-left ninth. I’ll create an issue about this.
