Overall pixel art needs same “basic” drawing understanding and + specialization for pixel art I guess. Its also important what style you aiming 8bit? 16bit? or kind of mix with modern effects like bloom and no limits on palette
If you looking for “guides” tutorials for pixel art or drawing youtube should be full of tutorials
