I’m trying to lineup rectangles by making them equal height apart. I also want to make the rectangles equal height apart from the top and bottom. I normally select the pencil tool and press ctrl and it tells me how many pixels apart they are, but now I have a background and it doesn’t tell me. Here is an image:
Make sure View > Show > Auto Guides is enabled.
If that’s not the problem, make sure your buttons are all on separate layers and are separate from the background, as the guides show you the space between cel bounding boxes, rather than any other kind of content.
