Loop through tag frames cannot turn off

Hey, I am currently having an issue where disabling the “loop through tag frames” option in the animation/layer editor does not stop from looping through the tags. The animation plays in full if I start it outside of a defined tag, but if I put it inside a defined tag it loops through tag area. This seems intended for when loop through tag frames is enabled, but toggling this option does not change this. Thanks.

Using Aseprite v1.2.25-x64 for steam on a windows computer running Windows 10

This is a setting only for the onion skin. Right click the play button and you’ll find a (hidden) menu with an Ignore tags setting.
