I’ve noticed that while I can move the Preview window (F7) to a second monitor, it still counts as being “inside” the Aseprite app.
Because of this, I cannot select the Preview as a separate “Window Capture” in OBS. When I try to stream or record, I have to capture my entire screen or the whole Aseprite interface, which includes all my tools and menus.
Suggested Improvement:
Could you add an option to make the Preview its own standalone window? This would allow:
- OBS Capture: Picking just the Preview window to show the final animation to viewers.
- Taskbar Visibility: Having the preview show up as its own icon so it’s easier to manage on different screens.
Right now, the app treats the preview as a part of the main window, which makes it invisible to broadcasting software.
