My first character!

After a few hours playing around making animals in B&W on 16x16 canvas and a few items with this palette, I tried to make a character :

What do you think? Had an hard time improving the shield and the helmet. Any advice?

Hi!
For a first character, this is great! The shading’s well done on most parts.
In my opinion the shield lacks a little bit of shading/details compared to the whole character (especially the wooden part), aside from that, it’s nice overall.
