I like the designs! Takes me back to computer lab in grade school when I’d sneak Solitaire and change the card backs to the haunted castle lol.

Is it OK to use these as a base for a game logo?
It’s for a university project, but it may end up on the Google Play store.
We won’t be making money off of it though.

As long as it’s for non-commercial purposes (that includes ad monetization and other profits you might make off a “free” product), then I’m fine with it. Bonus points if you open-source it 
F-Droid could always use some nice open-source games.
Also, the top-left card is not mine, so I’m not sure if the creator would be fine with your use of it.
