Is it possible to restrict color picker to fewer colors? So instead of 256 you’d have say 16 on each slider. I seen the FastBit plugin, but I was hoping for something more visual.
Not via built-in tools. It should be possible to script a visual colour picker, but this would not replace the built-in one and would require keeping the script’s picker window open at all times.

Someone could write scripts to restrict current foreground or background color by specific rules. Then you will be able to bind such scripts to keyboard shortcuts. And pick colors and press this keys combinations to reduce foreground/background color by script rules.
