Hi everyone, I’m new to the forums, I wanted to suggest a feature that I recently “discovered” (can’t believe I didn’t notice before ) in many apps. I didn’t know about it, but, after getting used to it, it helped me to cut time and thus made my workflow faster while editing.
The feature I’m proposing is the option to select a “dropdown list” button (which already happens in Aseprite as in other programs) and then use the mouse scroll wheel to quickly change the dropdown button you selected. I think it’d be perfect for the layer mode, as it’s the main use case I envisioned.
I know arrow keys might be problematic since they are already used for scrolling through the layers list, scroll-wheel then seems the most intuitive and is currently unused.
Additionally, in some programs, they even let you continuously scroll instead of having to reach again to the “normal” layer mode by going back to the top with the scroll wheel.
It could even be used for the fonts’ dropdown, but since there’s no live preview when changing them it won’t be needed if it’s not going to be overhauled, but I’m not here to ask for that (not right now at least ).
If further explanation is needed, feel free to ask and I’ll provide some examples! Thanks for reading.
