Recently I was doing some Game Boy styled pixel art and I was using 160 x 144 px, and I wondered if it would be possible to either have a way to set premade canvas size like NES size, GB size, ect… or custom canvas size that we could set in preferences menu. I don’t know if that’s really clear but that’s an idea I had.

Until this is added, you could create some empty starter files with your desired dimensions, and load those instead of making new files. If you pin them, you can access them easily, and if you make them read-only, you should be able to avoid accidentally overwriting them with your changes. You could even prepare their palettes, grids, and pre-make some layers for convenience if you go this route.
