Specialized mouse buttons

I have a mouse with 2 buttons on the side, and I’m not sure if it is a issue with my mouse/computer or not implemented in the application, but those buttons act as my left mouse. the problem is that I can’t assign them to anything else, which would be very helpful (undo/redo). If this is just a problem that I have and that others don’t, that would be a fine answer for me, or else, I’d like to know if I can solve it.

If you have a Razer mouse like I do, you can rebind all the mouse buttons with the Razer Synapse software. Corsair has the Link and iCue programs, but I’m not sure if they accomplish the same thing. Try looking for programs published by your mouse manufacturer.
