I’m aware of the option to colour in individual cels to organize which frames are which, but I think it would be a lot faster and easier if there was an option to just create a tag that doesn’t loop to organize them. Is this something that already exists and I just haven’t realised?

There’s no loop/don’t-loop property on tags, looping is independent of tags. Whether the animation preview loops depends on whether you have “Play Once” checked or unchecked in the Play menu (right-click the play button).
