So I just ran across this thread while looking for a tile sheet example of the multiple tiles I’d need to make to create connecting tiles. It appears that the artist is using a pixel program that can instance certain parts of a tile to fill in for other parts of other tiles to speed up tile creation and to ensure tiles would connect seamlessly (the GIF in the thread better illustrates what I’m trying to say).
It’d be amazing for Aseprite to incorporate something like this into its program as well.
It’s okay, I looked more into it. Apparently the artist uses software dedicated to tile set creation, or at least software that’s more catered to tile set creation. This is probably outside what Aseprite is currently trying to accomplish.
