Tolerance in Aseprite

I’m getting started Aseprite. I don’t understand the Tolerance. Could someone explain it for me, please?

Short, maybe not totally accurate answer:
I.e. the bucket tool/magic wand tool; tolerance is how much difference in colors you allow when selecting or replacing colors. 0 tolerance equals no difference at all. I think the default value in photoshop is 16 or 32, so when selecting for instance a red color, it allows you to select a larger span of variation with that red color as a starting point.

Try drawing a gradient over the screen with a gradient tool, then select a color with the magic wand tool and tweak the tolerance and see what happens.
