I’ve been using Aseprite for a while now, coming from Photoshop.
One issue I’m having is that I keep using the wrong tool when working, mainly when alternating between the brush, the paint bucket, and the filled rectangle. I end up having to Undo, then select the appropriate tool. It’s a recurring thing, too.
Could it be possible to display the current tool in the cursor? Coming from Photoshop, I realized that this little thing helped me remember which tool is in use, preventing waaay more mistakes than I had thought.
It also doesn’t help that the UI lacks contrast. I can’t identify the current tool as fast because it’s all shades of gray. I would suggest making the selected tool background dark, or at least a color that pops out immediately.
