Given you’re using macOS instead of Windows or Linux, you should probably check the very top of your screen, where the menu bar is (with the Apple logo to the far left and clock and other stuff to the right) rather than the program window.

Just in case if you want to enable the Aseprite menu bar, you can check the Edit > Preferences > General > Show Aseprite menu bar, but on macOS this menu is disabled to favor the Apple menu bar at the top of the screen.
