A few days ago we’ve received a support ticket from a user that was using an XP-Pen Artist 24 and reported that when using the pencil tool (or paint bucket tool) the stylus was drawing on the tablet screen even without touching it.
First I recommended to try the different Tablet options on the preferences dialog, but that didn’t make any difference.
Then I found this link from the tablet’s manufacturer and send it to the user:
There it explains the issue and some workarounds. It also seems that it applies to several models because it doesn’t mention any specific one.
At the end, the user reported that changing the pressure parameters worked! (as suggested by the first alternative solution in the above link)
I was happy, the customer was happy, everyone was happy. It was a happy day
