Zoom: Grid vs Checkered Background

I am hitting a weird problem on all non-power-of-two (in this case with a negative exponent, aka scaling down) zoom levels.

I have a 64x64 checkered background, and 64x64 guides.
When I scale to e.g. 33.3 they don’t align

It happens in 1.2.40, and the current beta.
