TL;DR: There’s a huge and ever-growing demand for pixel art tools on Android. People use tablets and Wacom pens, it very convenient. And if you’re worried about funding - please, please (!) do a crowdfunding campaign or open other donation options. I’d throw half of my salary your way, just to see it happen.

Hi. I’ve been using Aseprite on-and-off since before it was even released on Steam and these days it’s the backbone of my career in gamedev. It is the best pixel art (and imo art in general) tool out there, nothing else comes even close to it. Thank you for making it! <3
I don’t need any other additional features. It’s already perfect as it is. But the one thing I seriously can’t imagine my life without now is an Android version.
I frequently use a Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE when I’m working away from home. The only decent pixel art app I managed to find is Pixel Studio. It has over 5 million downloads on Play Store and has a premium version that costs between $13 and $17, and you really can’t do much without buying it. What I like about it: big buttons, minimal UI, a lot of space for drawing. What I dislike: everything else. Being a mobile app, it doesn’t even support the basics like using a side button on your pen for erasing, which single-handedly makes any drawing 2 times longer (because you have to manually click on draw and erase tools).
So if there’s even a slight chance of this port happening, please do let us (the community) know! I can see at least 20 more years of my career in Aseprite, so I’d be happy to chip in and donate on a regular basis to have this state-of-the-art tool at my fingertips.
P.S. And with posts like these: Guide to Aseprite 1.1.6-dev on Android [NO ROOT, NO COMPILING] , Compiling for Android Discussion , we know that it IS possible! I’d be perfectly fine with this older version, just as a stable release and without the tedious workarounds.
